Pakistan and the Netherlands pledge to strengthen cooperation against human trafficking

Pakistan and the Netherlands have pledged to intensify cooperation in the fight against human trafficking, recognizing that joint efforts are needed to tackle this global threat.

The commitment was made during a meeting between the Dutch Ambassador, Henny de Vries, and the Pakistani Minister of Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, at the Ministry of Interior.

During the meeting, both sides discussed various issues of mutual interest including expansion of bilateral cooperation. Minister Naqvi congratulated the newly formed government in the Netherlands and expressed Pakistan’s desire to deepen relations with the European nation in various areas.

Minister Naqvi stressed the urgency of better cooperation to tackle human trafficking. Traffickers operate like a powerful mafia, making it impossible for any country to tackle the challenge alone.

He stressed the effectiveness of coordinated measures in the fight against human trafficking and indicated that an Italian delegation will soon visit Pakistan to discuss further cooperation in this area.
